This interactive historical investigation will plunge you into the intrigues of the 17th century, at the heart of one of the most mysterious enigmas in French history: the famous Iron Mask.
Is he Louis XIV’s twin brother, or just another character who has been the subject of more or less serious speculation by historians of all stripes?
Having escaped from prison, the Iron Mask feels hunted and is hiding somewhere on the island: will you be able to catch him in time before he returns to the mainland?
The originality of this challenge lies not only in the theme, but also in the ingredients that have proved their worth for over 20 years: mysterious parchment, wooden workshops, an actor wearing a real Iron Mask, fake period banknotes…
Divided into teams, participants take part in a variety of challenges, collecting precious clues to locate and find the Iron Mask in a thrilling finale!
On this team-building programme from another era, you’ll be amazed at the extent to which the teams get involved in the game, and the participants unite… without using a single connected object!
An eco-responsible team-building solution on a paradise island
After a short boat trip, your group will be checked-in at an exceptional natural site: a paradise island 90% covered in maritime pines, eucalyptus and other Mediterranean species: Sainte Marguerite Island, opposite Cannes.
The absence of motorised vehicles is a major factor in making this play area a very pleasant one, and the use of workshops made from recyclable materials adds a touch of eco-responsibility to the programme.
Managed by the ONF, this high-quality area alone will ensure 50% of the success of your team building event.
In addition to the forest, this island has a main fortress, a historic monument built by Vauban, as well as a nautical base and wide paths where you can wander without ever getting lost – in short, a site tailor-made for the success of your team-building activity.
A 4-season team-building solution
The “Escape from the Mask” team-building solution can be run all year round, adapting the activities to suit the season.
After the briefing on the island and the handing over to each team of its roadbook, each of them has the mission of finding the famous Mask, a real piece of personalised ironwork, worn by an actor! But to do so, each team must successfully complete some or all of the following stages in order to collect as many clues as possible.
In the summer months, water-based activities are offered alongside land-based activities, such as fountain building and raft building!
From November to March, the focus is on exclusively land-based activities, which may be more challenging or more static, to give everyone a chance to express their talents: orienteering, puzzle-solving, abseiling on the fort, the Bastille (tower-building), zip-lining, climbing, giant Mikado, blind maze, tamgram, the marsh…
What’s more, each team will have to issue “their challenge” to any team they meet along the way, making the programme even more interactive!
At the end of the programme, the team that finds the Iron Mask in its entirety will go home with a piece of metalwork personalised with the name of the company or the theme of the seminar.
